Sydney Harbour Bridge

The security and fear based around photography on Sydney Harbour Bridge is the stuff of legends. There aren’t too many photographers who don’t come away from Sydney Harbour Bridge with some war stories to tell. It’s, of course, dressed up as post 9/11 security bullshit but we all know the real reason they try to ban photography on The Bridge is because they want you to pay for the Bridge Walk and pay for their photos.

Now I’ve done The Bridge Climb and, without being a shill, I can highly recommend it, but you still can’t take photos.

I actually had no problem on The Bridge and took lots of photos but this, for some reason , remains my favourite….

Sydney 2008

In October 2008 we spent two weeks in Sydney.  I was constantly singing Paul Kelly in my head.  “From St Kilda to King’s Cross” and, of course, “Have you ever seen Sydney from a 747 at night?”

Have you ever seen Sydney from a 747 at night?

Sydney shines such a beautiful light

And it does…
