It’s Fringe and Festival time in Adelaide and one of the fringe benefits (ha!) of working in the city at this time is being able to wander off and find some beautiful art 5 minutes walk from the desk. This is Amococo:

Andrew Stark on street photography

Andrew Stark is a Sydney based street photographer. He was kind enough to send me a copy of “Emerging into Life” his, as yet, unpublished study into the psyche of street photographers. It’s a fascinating, insightful and pretty funny read. I certainly hope he gets it published somewhere along the line.

Andrew’s definition of a street photographer:

“…street photographers emerge almost exclusively from the suburbs. Like a small, mangy pack of bewildered lemmings they shuffle out onto the streets to chase the world, cruelly programmed by their own inner make up, driven in an unrelenting fashion toward a ghastly drop into the art void.”
